Simply remove your wet-side assembly, remove the existing screen, and install this guard back onto your pump as before! This guard not only protects your pump from anemones, but other small creatures like starfish, fish, urchins and snails from getting into your pumps and breaking them.
This guard replaces the existing ecotech cover and does not slide over.
This allows for greater water flow through the pump. With the special extra-wide design, more water can flow through the pump and less suction is created on the intake, making it safer for even your smallest aquarium inhabitants.
