Real Reef Branch Rock is some of the best we’ve seen and makes a great replacement for the famous Tonga Branch rock we used to love for our aquascapes. Each rock is man-made right in the USA using top-quality ingredients. Using the same building blocks that your coral use, Real Reef is made with a variety of minerals, aggregates, and sands, each rock contains not only calcium carbonate but essential trace elements.

After each rock is made, they are covered in beautiful shades of purple, pink, and red before they are allowed to cure in fresh water for a minimum of 12 weeks and then transferred into the saltwater bins for another 12-16 weeks before being packaged. Real Reef Solutions saltwater grow-out tanks prepare the rock for instant addition to your reef tank.

Sizing – On average each box will have a variety of pieces ranging from 10″ up to 18″. Since the rock is man-made and every piece is unique, the size and weight can vary from piece to piece, but we have found most 30 pound boxes have between 10-14 pieces of Branch Rock. We like mixing the Real Reef Branch Rock with traditional Real Reef Rock for a natural-looking aquascape. Each box is pre-packed and we are unable to take requests for certain shapes or sizes at this time.

We highly suggest curing all rock before being used in an established system. 

Real Reef Rock will be slightly damp when you receive it, and may even have small amounts of algae or other organic material, which can cause a mini-cycle when added to a tank. In most instances, the amount of ammonia will be very small since Real Reef Solutions keeps their grow out tanks super clean, and focus on curing the rock.
